Great location but needs a refit. Feels tired.
I have stayed many times in the past for work and lesiure. Its sadly now looking tired - especially in the rooms. Needs a refit and update badly. Nothing has changed in the many years I have stayed there including furnishings - and it shows. Bathrooms looked old and tired with missing grout and damaged tiles etc. No luxuries like snacks or mini bar in the room. 1 english channel (news) only on t.v. No movie channels etc. Felt a bit grubby. Still the best location in my opinion. No common areas - nowhere to sit. Bad service in bar - had to physically keep going to find the barman. Disappointing choices on room service menu

The hotel is in a very good location and the rooms are comfortable
Well my issue is that i asked for a late check out a couple of days before my check out, i was told to ask at the same day because they needed to be sure if there was availability which is understandable. On the day of the check out i asked and they said they had availability so i asked for the late check out and said that i was willing to pay for a late check as i needed the room for as long as possible. i had stayed in this hotel before and had a free late check out at 2.00 pm, they told me that they would make me pay 60 euros which is half a full night and that i could only keep the room till 4.00 pm max, i needed the room till 5 which is only 1 hour difference but they refused. when i told them that they gave me free late check out till 2.00 pm before and this time i was paying 60 euros for only 2 hours they answered well its because you booked with booking.com if you book with us directly its much better and we can do more for you. Once that was said there was nothing more to be discussed as obviously they have different standards for their guests.

Perfectly situated - only steps to Diagonal Metro and around 10 minutes walk from Passeig d Grácia where the airport train comes in. Lovely spacious rooms which were spotlessly clean, and a tasty breakfast buffet
